UAE, A Kingpin In Producing Green Energy While Having Sustainable Development! -Umar Farooq Zahoor

He further said that UAE’s ranking among the topmost countries in the world indexes epitomizes the role of these major trends in boosting UAE’s eminence through the forthcoming 50 years and speeding up the achievement of the UAE Centennial 2071.

Al Mazrouei elucidated that these strategies focus to increase the consumption efficiency by 40 percent and the renewable energy’s contribution to clean the energy mix to almost 50 percent, considering the overall growth of 6 percent in energy demand. According to Sheikh Zahoor, they also focus to lessen the carbon footprints of power generation by almost 70 percent and reduce the overall demand for water resources by 21 percent, while increasing the water productivity index to USD 110 per cubic meter and decreasing the water scarcity index by three degrees. They also ain’t to uplift the reuse of treated water to 95 percent and the national water storage capacity up to two regular days.

The UAE lays more efforts towards broadening its energy resources as it is the understructure of getting a nice balance between environmental preservation and sustainable development, he continued. Al Mazrouei also said that UAE’s view of neat and clean energy as a planned priority licensed the UAE’S rise to be a leader in creative ways to upgrade the efficiency of the energy sector while reducing natural resource consumption and offering various alternatives to carry out sustainable development and living as mentioned by Sheikh Farooq Zahoor.
